Let’s start unit 3 of the Get Advantage C1 course.
This unit has been divided into three videos. Each video will cover grammar, vocabulary and/or the different parts of the exam. At the end of each video, you will be given certain tasks to complete in the digital book. There are other tasks in which you will have to write your answers and send them to your teacher for correction. This unit should take about two weeks to complete, and you will have a 30-minute video call with your teacher to practise the speaking part and ask any questions you may have about the unit. This unit is called “Mind, body and soul” and is all about how we think. In the first lesson, we discuss the different types of thinkers. We will also look at some useful phrasal verbs, and the difference between no, not and none.
The second lesson will focus much more on grammar. Here we will review the passive voice and everything related to it.
The third and final lesson will focus on the exam. In this lesson, we will practise Listening part 2, UOE part 2, Reading part 5, Speaking part 3, and then Writing part 1. It is important to go to the relevant pages of the digital book to practise each part of the exam and the writing needs to be sent to your teacher.
